New Projection Equipment at the Hyart Using proceeds from recent fund raisers, the Hyart Restoration Committee purchased new equipment to update the projection system and make it more compatible with modern movies. One of the projectors received a new xenon lamp house, replacing the old carbon lamps, and the other will be a back-up, or put on display at the Hyart. Also installed is a new automated control system which includes a platter system that will eliminate the need for reel changes and rewinding. A new LED reverse scan reader replace the old "white light" system, to produce a cleaner sound similar to digital. The Hyart will maintain its classic Simplex projector and sound head, which is one of the best projector in the industry, even at 50 plus years old.
